The recent body of paintings explores the combination of painted illusionistic space with pictorial flatness, particularly to how forms are spacially in relationship with the edges of the canvas. Observations–poetry in curb cracks, knowing glances, stretched light casts–mould the forms. What fluctuates between the real and the unreal, what is considered contained versus expansive, have been the center of my preoccupation.
